Mapping the Vegetation of Al Sammaliah Island:
CER have undertaken a vegetation mapping project for Al Sammaliah Island, in order to assess the current status of the vegetation, and areas where vegetation cover and diversity could be increased. Halophytic plants, including mangroves and salt marshes dominate the Islands vegetation. The vegetation-mapping project will assist CER staff to conserve the original vegetation during the development phase of Al Sammaliah Island.
