Bird Habitat

CER are currently developing bird habitat on Al Sammaliah island.  This habitat includes the construction of artificial wetlands with mangrove and other halophytic vegetation for migratory birds.  Other forms of bird habitat are also being developed on the island, these include freshwater ponds, artificial nestboxes and nest platforms for resident bird species such as the Osprey (Pandion haliaetus).
